Back in art school, I found myself stuck studying a lot of what happened with the abstract expressionists. My favorite artist is Francesca Woodman, but a lot of what my visual art philosophy stems from is the language of Basquiat, Pollock and Rothko. I think the album art speaks most heavily to this influence. The essence of all this though is how much fun it can all be. How easy it can be to create, how simple it can be to let go. The darkness comes, but it also goes. The balance can never be forgotten if ever want to truly enjoy things. Somewhere in all this madness, I found the name Bane Rothko. We paint in Armani.
