about

I'm not a rapper with a long list of haters. I don't even talk like that. Because the reality is very much the opposite. In my view, there a lot of people that genuinely want to see me succeed with my music, and I view that as a blessing, a responsibility, and a source of pressure. In this life, there are moments of depression, despair, pain & discouragement where things feel impossible and the invincibility we used to feel has dissipated. We lose some of our best ones to these moments. However, sometimes, the light at the end of tunnel can actually be reached, and it's there that we see the truth of ourselves - we are capable. This is a life where we have to define ourselves and stay true to that vision in order for anything to start making sense or have meaning.

lyrics

One for the road,
I know that you love me,
But I still feel alone,
I know I get high with you,
I still feel low,
I know I was s'posed to do this shit years ago,
(but)

Ain't I cute with my lateness?,
I mean I'm huge with my greatness,
Shades of the late-great dudes y'all debating,
Blazing the flakes with the hues & the fragrance,
Trynna make a few great tunes on the daily,
Worried bout the money I need just to be sick,
Worried bout my honey, she told me she'll love me rich,
Worried bout my mummy, I'm rapping my secrets like-,
Cuts to my face,
And my work in my place,
With them mean-muggin' niggas who hated they own race,
Trynna make it quicker than women can spot lace,
Worried bout my vision, my fears feel like mace,
I was blind to the bullshit,
Had to read a book now,
Fye with the verses,
Had to write a hook, now,
Fled from them churches,
Me & God cook now,
Got me on the stove with the bowls of the good chow,
Whip-whip-whippin' got my wrist feelin' golden,
Big dick pimpin', got a Queen deep throatin',
Tell me why you trippin',
This the life I was chosen,
(hmm)
And I look good in the role,
Who she know in town?,
Wouldn't you like to know,
Who she been around?,
Wouldn't you like to know,
How she getting down?,
Man the whole city now,
She is,

One for the road,
Tell me how you love her and ain't ever gettin' chose?,
Tell me how you handling the hits that life throws?,
Tell me how you managing the highs with the lows?,
Tell me what you drinking,
And take one for the road,
Tell me how you love her and ain't ever gettin' chose?,
Tell me how you handling the hits that life throws?,
Tell me how you managing the highs with the lows?,
Tell me what you drinking,
And take one for the road,

One for the road,
I know that you love me,
But I still feel alone,
I know I get high with you,
I still feel low,
I know I was s'posed to do this shit years ago,
(but)

Better late than ain't happen,
All they ever know is I'm the one who ain't yappin',
Or cappin',
The Man of the Morgue a true captain,
Ushering a wave, but burnt out too rapid,
Mumbling a phrase,
She turned to me like, "what happened?!,"
"I thought you said you the one that handle all this action,
Markets been crashing,
Them niggas been taxing,
Them figures been absent,
They gon' get trafficked,
Them gangs gon' stay blasting,
Them chains gon' get snatched,
Then attached on the back end,
Thangs gon' get hacked,
Cause that cash ain't what's happein',
Tell me how you figure we ain't still seen as fractions?,
Tell me how you dealing with the things they throw at ya?,
Things that go past ya?,
Tell me how you living with the things they don't adver-tise,
Cause they wanna minimize the real matters?,
Tell me how you judging books without reading chapters?,
Tell me how you wanna look to all the lives after,
You, when you through,
And the youth need a pastor?,"
(hmm)
And I didn't even know,

Tell me what you know about love? I wanna know,
Tell me how you handling the hits that life throws,
Tell me how you managing the highs with the lows,
Tell me what you drinking,
And take one for the road,
